The University of Wisconsin Extension/Wisconsin
Public Television: Managed the Reforging the
Links: Public Television, Public Service Media, and
the Land-Grant University " project for WHA-Television and the UW
System Learning Innovations Center.This
project involved over ten PBS stations and their university extension
counterparts. Technical adviser to the project's successor, Evolving the
Links. Developed a model for a "distributed
rich media and collaborative production utility," using the Internet2 to
link public television video editors and producers across multiple stations.

Corporation for
Public Broadcasting: As Interim Chief Technology
Officer of OnCourse,
conducted research on technology systems and strategic technology partners to
support a proposed “Online Educational Service” for delivering on-demand
educational multimedia to America’s schools.

Washington State
University: Managed the “PTV Next Generation
Intranet” Project for KWSU-TV and 8 additional PTV stations. Demonstrated
real-time streaming of broadcast-quality MPEG2 video across the Internet2;
created a prototype PTV Programmer’s Portal, allowing for search, preview and
fulfillment of public television video programs.
